Cancellation & Return Policy
This policy applies to all purchases made through the official Sri Mahalakshmi Silks website.
1. Return Policy
We accept returns only if the product is damaged or defective.
To request a return:

Customers must raise a return request within 24–48 hours of receiving the product.

Returns must be initiated only through our customer support team (not through the website).

Once approved, the product must be shipped back to our address within 7 working days.

Conditions for Return

Product must be unused, unwashed, and in original condition with:

Folds intact

Tags intact
-
Original packaging retained

Products not meeting these conditions will not be accepted.

A clear unboxing video is mandatory as evidence for any damage claim.
Proof Required

Email/WhatsApp must include:

Clear images or videos of the defect

Order ID
-
Customer name & phone number

Invoice/shipping receipt

Important Notes

If a parcel arrives torn, opened, or tampered, do not accept the delivery.
If accepted, Sri Mahalakshmi Silks will not be responsible. -
Damages caused by misuse, improper handling, or after use are not eligible for return.

All returned items undergo strict Quality Check before processing.
2. Exchange Policy

Exchanges are allowed only for damaged/defective products.

After QC approval, customers may receive:

A replacement product, OR
-
A credit note of equivalent value (valid for future purchases).

If the product fails QC, it will be sent back to the customer at their cost.
3. Courier Charges

Customer must bear return courier charges.

If the error is from our side (wrong/damaged item), courier charges will be compensated via credit note.
4. Product Details Disclaimer

Slight variations in color, texture, and finish may occur due to lighting and screen settings.

Handloom sarees may have minor weaving irregularities, which are not considered defects.

Returns based on color variation or fabric characteristics will not be accepted.
5. Order Cancellation
Customer-Initiated

Orders cannot be cancelled once processed or dispatched.

If cancellation is requested within 24 hours and before dispatch, only store credit will be issued.

No refunds will be provided for customer-initiated cancellations.
Company-Initiated

If we face stock or technical issues, we may cancel the order and issue a full refund within 7 working days.
6. Refund Process

Refund mode is at the sole discretion of Sri Mahalakshmi Silks—typically via:

Credit Note, or
-
Exchange option

Once the returned product passes QC, refunds/credits are processed within 7 working days.

Customers may contact support anytime for refund status.
7. Delivery Issues

If an order is not delivered, customers must report the issue within 2 days of the scheduled delivery date.

Claims raised after 7 days cannot be processed.
